Dr. Carolina Coimbra is a specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics with a strong academic and clinical background. She completed her Integrated Master’s in Medicine at the University of Minho in 2016, undertook her Common Year at Hospital de Braga, and completed her specialized training at Hospital de São João between 2018 and 2023, during which she also cocluded a Postgraduate Program in Fetal Medicine at the University of Porto (2019–2020).
Throughout her training, she obtained several international certifications, including the European Certification in Gynecological Endoscopy GESEA, levels 1 and 2 (2021–2023), the Urodynamics Certificate from the International Continence Society (2023), and the Gynecological Ultrasound Certificate from the International Ovarian Tumour Analysis (2020).
She became a Specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics in 2024 and has maintained clinical activity at Hospital de São João since then. Since May 2025, she has also been part of the Ferticentro team, where she is dedicated to supporting patients undergoing fertility treatments.
During my internship at medical school, I discovered my passion for Gynecology and Obstetrics, a unique combination of science, technique, and human interaction. Over time, Reproductive Medicine naturally emerged as an almost instinctive path for me. Being able to help couples achieve the dream of starting a family is, without a doubt, one of the greatest rewards of my profession.
